Finally, the time has come: We have listened to your wishes and now offer you a high-quality range of selectable materials for your custom printed folding boxes! You can choose from a total of four cardboard boxes, suitable for any application! So you can now use our folding box configurator to print product packaging, food packaging and particularly ecological and environmentally friendly packaging.

In addition, we are working on a solution for storing further quantities such as 7,500, 15,000 or 20,000 pieces in the configurator for boxes in the future. In this way, we are meeting the demand of our customers on the one hand, and on the other, we would like to process the sharp increase in special requests online in the future.

Our new materials in detail:

The cheapest carton is our 350g/m² SBS carton. This is made of pure cellulose, so it is wood-free and fiber-free! The smooth and bright white cardboard is perfect for packaging food supplements, gifts, cosmetics or medical products.

The second carton you can choose is our 420g/m² SBS carton. It has the same properties but is much more stable. Many of our customers who sold their dietary supplements and cosmetics products on Amazon have requested a more stable carton. With this variant, we can remedy the situation and provide strong and stable packaging with printing!

Our third material is an ecological 350g/m² grass cardboard. The special feature of this packaging material is its texture - it is made of recycled fiber and meadow grass, which is easily visible on the slightly rough surface! Perfect for food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics!

The final touch is our 350g/m² food grade board. Not only is it designed for direct food contact such as popcorn, fries or donuts, but it is also brilliant white and ideal for all types of food packaging.

The chromo cardboard and symbol cardboard in comparison

If we compare the frequently used chromosulfate cardboard (GC) with our Symbol Cardboard, we can see the enormous differences based on a few facts:

So let's keep in mind: the SBS board is whiter (especially also inside), heavier and has a higher bending stiffness than a chromo board. Another advantage is the 100% degradability of the material and pulp, as well as the food safety towards the material.

The details make the difference

The Symbol Card board compared to the chromo board

Due to the fact that our most commonly used packaging cardboard Symbol Card (SBS) by Fedrigoni is made of pure cellulose, there are numerous advantages compared to other cardboard boxes used by many other manufacturers. One major difference is the Base color of the material. While the Symbol Card comes with an extremely white appearance on the outside and inside, when compared with the chromosulfate board, one sees a slightly yellowish tint on the outside and inside. This has the effect that printing colors are displayed differently than on a very white background (see photo).

The Symbol Card carton compared to the GD2 carton

Packaging and folding boxes are also frequently made from GD2 cardboard. This cardboard is very inexpensive, but has a dark, rough surface on the inside. The outside of the carton is also not bright white and thus probably distorts the print image. The whiteness between our cardboard and GD2 is enormous, see picture.
